lauradi7dw: me wearing a straw hat and gray mask (anniversary)

Wednesday night Flo & B tested and came over to be at our table for the first seder. Also at the table was my laptop, so that we could join remotely eleven relatives at the home of Arthur's parents and sister and her husband in Florida, the youngest brother and sister-in-law in Texas, and a niece in British Columbia. Also Arthur's older brother on the phone in his car until he lost signal. Three time zones and pretty much of a continent represented. I continue to be grateful for Zoom. Reading, singing, eating, having people companionably in our kitchen while I did the dishes (the non-Florida households finished the festive meals much sooner than the big table in Florida), all good. After the nieces (all in their 30s) completed the animals noises version of Chad gadya (the last item on the agenda), Arthur's sister (in charge of the evening) declared a successful seder in "under three hours" (2:55).
For the second night, Arthur and I ate leftovers and skipped the traditional readings, using instead this wonderfulness from rosefox

The tablecloth was embroidered by Arthur's Grandma Flo (not a coincidence) in about 1979. It appears on the table at Thanksgiving and Passover. The plate was made for us at more or less the same time by Linda Lombardi.
